Order Prescriptions

There are a number of ways to order your repeat prescriptions….

The Medicine Order Line (MOL)

The Medicine Order Line (MOL) offers a number of convenient ways to order your prescriptions. There aim is to ensure patients are using a service that most suits them.

Telephone a dedicated Medicines Ordering Line: 0115 855 0260who with your consent, will have access to your medication and process your request or query directly through to the GP or

Order via their online form https://www.derbyshiremol.nhs.uk/

 

Riversdale does not take repeat prescription requests over the phone, you will need to contact the MOL.

Online – Using one of the many online platforms which are available 24/7

If you already have an online account with the surgery and want to order a repeat prescription, please click on the link below.

Or via Systm Onlines app - Airmid

You can login to Airmid using your SystmOnline Username and Password if you have them. Otherwise, Airmid allows you to use your NHS Login. For help with creating an NHS login, see the NHS website and for how to use your NHS login on Airmid, watch this video tutorial.

In Person

 

You can order in person by returning the right-hand half of a previous prescription for the required medications, or by submitting a handwritten request.

Please put this repeat prescription request in the box next to the Reception desk.

What happens next?

Please allow 3 working days for your prescription to be process at the surgery, then additional time for your nominated Pharmacy to make up your prescription ready for collection.

Dedicated prescription line

Call the surgery between 10am and 12pm and speak to our reception team. This line is dedicated to prescription queries only. The reception team can not take presctiption requests over the phone. 

 

NHS Charges

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

  • Prescription (per item): £9.90
  • 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £114.50
  • 3-month PPC: £32.05

If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.

Help with NHS costs

In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:

  • those on specific benefits or through the NHS Low Income Scheme
  • those who are age exempt
  • those with certain medical conditions
